Connection is Everything.
I grew up in a small place in Idaho with nothing but trees, mountains, and sky. As a kid I had a lot of time on my hands to explore and create. Later I went to school to become a doctor originally when I fell in love with science and the world of chemistry.
Personally, I have faced clinical depression and a feeling of disconnect from people since a young age. I was enveloped in the competition and stresses of western society and what I thought I had to be in order to be happy. It took me years to realize all I wanted was a simplistic lifestyle, and more than anything, a regained connection to myself and others that share our world.
With kanna I found a tool that grounds me, opens me up like a book, examines my content and forces me to take a good look at what I call life. There are too few places and moments nowadays that allow me to be present. So I have dedicated my time to this plant and the power this supplement can offer!

Make the world a better place.
Growing up, I lived amongst kitties and hanging out in the garden with my grandma. This nurtured my love for animals, nature, and homemade goodies. Additionally, I loved hanging out with my dad learning how to weld, use power tools, and build anything we could dream of. With a growing interest in STEM throughout middle and high school, I decided to pursue a Materials Science degree in college.
School is not for the faint of heart though. As my interest in STEM began so to did my insecurities and anxiety. My own high expectations and desire to be with the top academics added to the stress and worries for my future success. After working in a lab and experiencing my degree, I decided that future route wasn't for me. So, I went back to my roots of loving learning, nature, and the world around me. Next, deciding on being a teacher. This path was also not for the faint of heart and lacked the true connection to learning that I desired.
Kanna and other botanicals opened an entirely new world and community I never knew could exist. Not only does it help clear my mind, loosen my anxieties, but it also helps reconnect me to the natural world. Through kanna, I hope to inspire others with a desire to connect to themselves, nature, and a world they may not have otherwise known or appreciated.
